Kirsten Schmidtke leads the business, branding, and content strategy for Klas squared. With a successful background in business and creativity in her DNA, she was motivated to join forces with Lori for an opportunity to make a mark and leave an impact. She is drawn to the colour, detail and composition of fashion, falling in love with its ability to transform your mood, your energy, and your confidence.
Kirsten’s talent in the art of styling, curating a look, and creating a brand aesthetic, led her to the centre of Klas squared’s campaigns modeling the newest designs. Although much of her time is spent analyzing numbers, driving business strategy, and writing copy, her love for the creative process is equally as important, and fulfilling.
“I don’t get to make all of the decisions [at work], but I do get to decide what I wear. I believe fashion has the ability to transform your energy, and accessories have the power to take it a step further: to express your personality, your beliefs, and what you stand for.”
What our customers want to know
Distinct and distinguishable. My mother instilled in me at an early age that fashion was about being yourself: standing out and being different. Over the past few years, I’ve really worked at understanding the silhouettes, textures, and colours that work for my body type and personality. I’ve been able to curate a closet of pieces that complement one another and are comfortable yet fashionable.
I feel powerful…
After a workout: Whether lifting, running, etc. physical challenges better prepare me for the mental ones.
After publishing a blog: It takes blood, sweat, and tears to write a good one, but if I can have even the smallest influence on someone, it’s all worth it.
After putting together an outfit without buying any new pieces: I love when I can make something old feel new again!
Can I pick two? You will always find me wearing the Infinity Bracelet and the Shine Bracelet in gold. The Infinity Bracelet is the perfect bridge piece for stacking, and they look perfect with my mixed metal watch that my dad bought me for my 16th birthday – proof that good quality and well designed accessories never go out of style!
